The Japanese standard of electrical connectors appear physically identical to NEMA 1-15, but other requirements for standardization. In addition, the mains voltage in Japan is 100 V.Wikipedia:JIS C 8303(Class II)
Note that the installation of ungrounded NEMA 1-15R receptacles in new buildings in the US and Canada has been banned since 1962, however the products are present in many older buildings and this receptacle type is still used only for renovations.
US-Japanese type A plugs and sockets are used in ChinaChinese plugs and sockets GB 2099.1‐2008, however the voltage between pins of Chinese socket is always 220V.

The CEE 7/2 plug is compatible with socket types: E, F, H, J, K, L (10 A) and IEC 60906-1.

The standard has been adopted in India, Pakistan, parts of the Middle East (Kuwait, Qatar), Central and Southeast Asia.

Mainly used in France, Belgium, Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Tunisia and Morocco.

The standard is used exclusively in Israel, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
